Hope Leadership Academy

Hope Leadership Academy (HLA), established as a public charter school in 2011, is a community school that serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. HLA serves its community in coordination with the Hope Family Care Center and the Hope Community Center in the Santa Fe and Oak Park Neighborhoods of southeast Kansas City, Missouri. Saint Louis University began serving HLA as a public charter school sponsor in 2022.

We envision a vibrant, close-knit, neighborhood-based school where all students reach for and attain their highest goals by creating a caring, supportive, and trauma-informed environment while striving for high expectations.
