Saint Louis University's School of Education offers programs for every level of aspiring educator, from those seeking employment as grade school teachers to those pursuing advanced degrees to become a principal or superintendent.

Undergraduate Programs

SLU’s School of Education offers an undergraduate degree in education with your choice of concentration.

B.A. in Education concentrations:

  • Early childhood education (birth to grade 3)
  • Early childhood and early childhood special education (birth to grade 3) (No longer accepting applications)
  • Elementary education (grades 1 to 6)
  • Middle school education (language arts, mathematics, science, social science) (grades 5 to 9)
  • Secondary education (English, mathematics, social science) (grades 9 to 12)
  • Special education for mild/moderate disabilities (kindergarten to grade 12)

B.A. in Teaching (Online Rising Teachers) concentrations:

  • Elementary education (grades 1 to 6)
  • Dual certification in elementary education and special education
