Your Guide to Being a Billiken

From when midterms start to when the library closes, here are some answers to frequently asked questions about attending Saint Louis University and links to some of the most used pages on slu.edu.

How do I ...

Learn the requirements for my degree program or minor?

Requirements for every academic program at SLU are housed in the academic catalog. Search for your degree to find credit hours required, semester-by-semester roadmaps and more, along with descriptions for each required course.

Register for classes, lift a hold or print my class schedule?

Most tasks related to registration and your schedule take place in Banner Self Service. The Office of the University Registrar has more information on registering for classes, common holds, your class schedule and more.

Pay my bill?

Payments can be made online, via mail and in person at the cashier's window on the ground floor of DuBourg Hall. Visit Saint Louis University's online Payment Suite via mySLU under the "Tools" section. For more information, visit Student Financial Services.

Accept or apply for financial aid?

Student Financial Services has everything you need to learn about your scholarship and financial aid, and can help you develop financial well-being through every step of college and beyond.

Find a tutor or academic support?

SLU is full of academic resources that can help you succeed. You can make an appointment for academic coaching, tutoring and writing services through 
EAB Navigate. Visit the Student Success Center for more information. If you require academic accommodations or information about SLU's testing centers, contact the Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources (CADR). 

Sign up for housing?

Current students can sign up for housing as early as November. You can complete the process through mySLU or in person at SLU's housing office in DuBourg Hall. The Department of Housing and Residence Life can walk you through the process and has all the details about on-campus housing options.

Buy books or SLU and Billiken gear?

You can buy your new, used and digital books online or in person at The Billiken Shop.

Change my meal plan or buy Flex/Billiken Bucks?

You can add money to your SLU ID, check account balances, and view your meal plan and transaction history through SLU ID eAccounts.

Print papers or presentations?

SLU has more than a dozen locations on campus equipped for printing and starts you out each fall semester (and summer if you are enrolled) with credits to use within the academic year.

Get student health, wellness or counseling services?

The Student Health Center can help you have medication delivered to campus and offers nurse visits, physical therapy, occupational therapy and dietetic information.

Counseling services are free of charge on campus to all Saint Louis University students, including full-time, part-time, graduate, law and medical students. To schedule an appointment, call 314-977-8255 (TALK). In an emergency,  consult with the University Counseling Center 24/7 behavioral health nurse triage line by calling 314-977-8255 and pressing option #9. (Review mental health crisis resources and warning signs.) 

You can also find health and wellness resources on various topics from Simon Recreation Center. 

Get a transcript?

There is no fee for University transcripts. Official transcripts of your academic record at SLU, including work completed in the 1818 Advanced College Credit program, are available through the Office of the University Registrar. You can also access an unofficial transcript through Banner Self Service.

Update my contact information?

Log into mySLU and click the "Student" tab on the left under the "Personal Information" heading. You can also update your parent/guardian email address, personal emergency contacts and emergency notification information.
