Frontier Schools

Frontier Schools Incorporated (FSI), established as a public charter school in 2009, supports students in pre-kindergarten to 12th grade who have been traditionally underserved through a STEM-focused curriculum design. Saint Louis University began serving FSI as a public charter school sponsor in 2023.

  • within an atmosphere of excellence with a STEM focus
  • to prepare for the jobs projected for the American workforce
  • meeting the needs of all, including those whose primary interest is non-STEM
  • providing flexibility to expand in the future to a STEAM environment by adding an arts component

With the support of the Policy Research in Missouri Education (PRiME) Center at Saint Louis University’s School of Education, SLU conducts regular evaluations of its sponsored charter schools.
