Student Resources

Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. Known for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care and a strong commitment to faith and service, the University also has a vibrant community and rich tradition in the St. Louis region. Combining world-class research with the Jesuit concept of cura personalis or “caring for the whole person” creates a welcoming and supportive environment for the work HCOR does, finding ways to improve the lives of people and populations.

Academic support at Saint Louis University fosters a welcoming and supportive environment to help SLU students reach their academic goals. Our coursework in HCOR is technical and often new to students, so we developed a free tutoring lab that allows one-on-one assistance with programming in various applications, analytic planning and approach, and other specific needs. At the University level, writing services and academic accommodations are also included at no cost.

Saint Louis University is deeply committed to prioritizing student health, wellness, and safety. We provide a wide range of resources to support these critical aspects of student life, striving to create an environment of trust, equity, and accountability. The University takes campus safety very seriously and has implemented comprehensive safety measures to protect our community. Learn more by visiting our Department of Public Safety. We are always happy to discuss any concerns you may have.

The University provides a large array of resources designed to help students with services, tools and information to make the most of their time at SLU and their home away from home in St. Louis. HCOR faculty and staff are also available to answer questions about where previous students have lived off campus, amazing local restaurants and international grocery stores and recreation to help you settle in.

University policies and procedures are in place to create a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment for students and staff. These guidelines ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance with legal and educational standards, fostering a positive educational experience for all stakeholders. Additional HCOR specific information and announcements will be available to students in Canvas, the university's learning management system.
