Scholarly Activity
Residents have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of basic or clinical research throughout their training. They also assist in quality improvement measures throughout the hospital by choosing and developing a QI project that addresses a need they have observed around the hospital.
Beyond our own walls, SLU anesthesia residents take an active part in research and scholarly activity around the country as well. Each year the program sends residents to present at a variety of research conferences including the Midwest Anesthesia Residents Conference (MARC), the American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) annual conference, and Society of Critical Care Anesthesia (SOCCA).
