The Saint Louis University School of Medicine’s Continuing Medical Education program was last surveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in 2023 and awarded Accreditation for four years.

Saint Louis University School of Medicine has been reviewed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) and awarded reaccreditation for four years as a provider of continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. Accreditation in the ACCME System seeks to assure the medical community and the public that Saint Louis University School of Medicine delivers education that is relevant to clinicians’ needs, evidence-based, evaluated for its effectiveness, and independent of commercial influence."

Saint Louis University’s ACCME accreditation expires on Nov. 30, 2027.

ACCME accreditation assures the medical community and the public that the Saint Louis University School of Medicine’s CME program provides physicians with relevant, effective, practice-based continuing medical education that supports health care quality improvement in the United States.

The ACCME's mission is the identification, development and promotion of standards for quality continuing medical education utilized by physicians in their maintenance of competence, and incorporation of new knowledge to improve quality medical care for patients and their communities.

The ACCME fulfills its mission through a voluntary self-regulated system for accrediting CME providers and a peer-review process responsive to changes in medical education and the health care delivery system.

Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation - Division of Professional Regulation (Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy)

The state of Illinois has accredited Saint Louis University’s Continuing Medical Education program to provide continuing education for both occupational therapists and physical therapists.

Saint Louis University’s accreditation to provide Illinois occupational therapy continuing education expires on Dec. 31, 2021. Saint Louis University’s accreditation to provide Illinois physical therapy continuing education expires on September 30, 2022.

Annual accreditation to provide Illinois physical therapy and occupational therapy continuing education will be maintained each calendar year.

Saint Louis University Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing and School of Social Work in SLU's College for Public Health and Social Justice is available for review and accreditation approval by submitting a CME/CE application.
