Summer

The summer can bring a variety of opportunities, including employment opportunities and enrolling in coursework.

Students can receive federal loans for the summer semester as long as they are enrolled at least part-time. Part-time summer enrollment is a minimum of 3 hours. Summer has its own academic period and budget. Financial aid for the summer semester may include a Direct Unsubsidized loan, a Direct PLUS loan, a private loan or federal work study funds.

Non-SLU LAW Summer Courses

If you enroll in non-law coursework during the summer, you will be charged that program's tuition rate. Review SLU tuition rates.

If you enroll at another institution during the summer, you will be assessed tuition based on that school's summer rate. You could be eligible for financial aid to cover the cost of those credit hours; learn more about visiting student financial aid.
