Application for Graduation

Applying for graduation is a Saint Louis University School of Law degree requirement. All students, whether or not you attend graduation, must complete the Application for Graduation. The deadline to apply for December 2024 graduation is Friday, August 30. The deadline to apply for May 2025 or August 2025 graduation is Friday, September 13. The Application is a two-part process that you begin by accessing Banner Self-Service.

To apply to graduate:

  1. Open myslu.slu.edu and click Banner Self-Service - Student.
  2. Click on My Student Profile.
  3. Click "Apply to Graduate" on the left-hand side of the Profile screen.
  4. Select your current term on the Curriculum Term Selection page to see your current program of study. Review it, select it and click "Continue."
  5. Select the term in which you are applying to graduate.
  6. Review the spelling of your name as it will appear on your diploma and the mailing address to which it will be sent. From "Student Records," select "View Online Application to Graduate."
  7. Once you reach the confirmation page, you have completed Part 1.
  8. Return to the email you received from the School of Law Registrar and click on the link provided to access Part 2 of the Application for Graduation.
  9. After answering all the questions, submit and you will see the confirmation page indicating you have completed the application.
