Rebecca Muich, Ph.D., provides direction for the Honors Program, works closely with SLU faculty and staff to offer unique learning experiences to Honors students, and offers oversight for campus initiatives like competitive scholarship and fellowship advising and supporting undergraduate research. She holds an Honors B.A. in Classics and History from Xavier University, an M.A. in Classics from the University of Florida, and a PhD in Classical Philology from the University of Illinois. Before arriving at SLU, she was an assistant professor of Classics at her alma mater Xavier University, and then programming coordinator/academic advisor and later assistant dean in Lloyd International Honors College at UNC Greensboro.

Louise manages operational aspects of the program, including programmatic data, student records and experiential learning opportunities. Louise joined the Honors Program staff in 2018 after serving as an academic advisor in the Doisy College of Health Sciences at SLU. She holds a B.A. in theatre and English from the University of Notre Dame and an M.A. in drama from Washington University in St. Louis.

Valerie’s responsibilities include advising honors students and supporting the Presidential Scholars Society, along with other Honors-Program-related activities involving career discernment. Valerie joined the Honors Program staff in 2023 after serving as an academic advisor in the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at SLU. Valerie holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business and an MBA from Saint Louis University. Before advising at SLU, Valerie worked for several different companies.

Jessica's responsibilities include directing programming for Honors students, liaising with the Honors LC, supporting student organizations PATH Mentors and Honors Student Association, and office administration. She earned a B.A. in Mathematics Education from Saint Louis University and a M.A. in Mathematics from Webster University. Along with serving a year in Jesuit Volunteer Corps NW, she spent many years as a high school math teacher. She most recently was a project manager for operations in a distribution company. Jessica loves all things St. Louis and is very involved in the community. She likes to explore different neighborhoods in her free time and volunteer with various nonprofits.
Phoebe Cook
Graduate assistant

As the graduate assistant, Phoebe supports Saint Louis University’s Honors Program by assisting with two Contemplation in Action courses and supporting cocurricular programming. She holds a B.A. in Communication Management from La Salle University and is pursuing a master's in Medical Marriage and Family Therapy at SLU this fall. Phoebe will additionally assist in the development of experiential learning initiatives in the International Partnership and Study Abroad Honors courses.
