TRIO Programs

The federal TRIO programs are educational opportunity programs that motivate and serve low-income individuals, first-generation college students and students with disabilities as they progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to graduate school.

TRIO also trains directors and staff of TRIO projects, and runs a dissemination partnership program to encourage the replication or adaptation of successful TRIO projects at institutions that do not have TRIO grants.
