Research Interests

Research in the Neely group focuses on the fundamental chemistry of first-row transition metal catalysis. This work relies on insights from inorganic, organometallic, and organic chemistry to understand the underlying reactivity of transition metal complexes during the catalytic cycle. We are currently applying this approach for the development of iron-catalyzed C–N and C–C bond-forming methods.
