"Mardell’s departure is a great loss for SLU, but she is an excellent administrator who richly deserves this opportunity," said Interim Provost Michael Lewis, Ph.D. "I thank her for her many contributions to the University and to the success of her college."

Among the many accomplishments Wilson has achieved during her six-year tenure as dean:

"It has truly been a privilege to serve as dean of the Doisy College of Health Sciences and I have been blessed to work with an amazing group of colleagues at SLU," said Wilson. "Fortunately, I will continue to work at a leading Jesuit university with a mission similar to SLU’s. The hardest part about leaving is the students, faculty, staff and administrators I’ve come to know, who have made working at the University so enjoyable."

Lewis said he will be meeting with DCHS faculty leaders, department chairs and dean’s office faculty and staff to develop processes for selecting an interim dean prior to Wilson’s departure.
