Thomas Sokolowski: “The Last Temptation: Andy Warhols Art as Belief”

Thomas Sokolowski examines Pop artist Andy Warhol’s outlook on art and aesthetics as they parallel the interaction between art and faith, and as influenced by the generally unrecognized religious dimension of Warhol's life.

Sokolowski’s talk is given in conjunction with the MOCRA exhibition Andy Warhol: Silver Clouds.


Thomas Sokolowski has been Director of The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA. since 1996. Prior to that position he was Director of the Grey Art Gallery, New York University, from 1984 to 1996. He has curated a number of exhibitions that have traveled internationally
