How Do I ...
Most tasks related to registration and your schedule take place in Banner Self-Service. The Office of the Registrar has more information on registering for classes, common holds, your class schedule and more.
Non-U.S. students will receive account summary statements for tuition in their student email. The student is responsible for forwarding this information to those they consider appropriate.
Students who are U.S. citizens with permanent residency outside the U.S. who do not apply for U.S. financial aid may pay their tuition fees directly to SLU-Madrid.
We have numerous resources that can help you succeed:
- Visit the Spanish Language Center to find tutors to help with grammar, vocabulary and conversation.
- Visit the Center for Eloquentia Perfecta to receive help in developing and writing English essays and assignments and creating oral presentations.
- The Department of Math and Computer Science provides tutors for students studying intermediate algebra, college algebra, precalculus and calculus.
- If you require academic accommodations or information about SLU's testing centers, contact the Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources
Students can apply for the host-family experience via the online application. Housing applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Housing staff will instruct students via email on how to enter the housing database and select a host-family option. This is a slow process because students are allowed up to four days to undertake this selection.
Students currently in host-family housing arranged through the University who fail to make payments according to the schedule will not be allowed to reserve host-family housing arranged through the University for a subsequent semester.
SLU-Madrid's bookstore provides faculty and students with required textbooks, University apparel and accessories, and photocopying services.
All full-time undergraduate students receive 100 SLU/Sodexo €uros at the beginning of every fall and spring term. Part-time students can load their IDs with SLU/Sodexo €uros, but they are not pre-loaded by SLU-Madrid.
Students can reload their ID with SLU/Sodexo €uros directly at The Unity or online.
SLU-Madrid does not have a medical center on its campus; however, all registered students are provided with Multi Sanitas Health Insurance for the duration of each term.
For pre-existing conditions, contact Rubén Borrás, M.D., a general practitioner who accepts Sanitas insurance, at dr.rvborras@gmail.com. If you need treatment for mental illness, contact the SLU-Madrid Counseling Center at counselingcenter-madrid@slu.edu.
In a medical emergency, contact Spain's universal emergency phone number at 112.
Current students should request their official transcripts in Banner Self-Service.
Log into mySLU and click the Student tab under the Personal Information heading on the left. You can also update your parent/guardian email address, personal emergency contacts and emergency notification information.
