Research Interests

Francisco Seijo is an expert in the field of environmental politics. His research focuses on land, forest and fire governance and their impact on global environmental change. He is a member of the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares and CSIC based forest ecology and restoration group. His work has appeared in various academic journals. He has also collaborated with Spanish and international governmental and non-governmental organizations as a consultant and participated in the ongoing environmental public debate in Spain, Europe and the United States through opinion pieces in El Correo, Público, Cadena SER, El País, the Breakthrough Journal, the Harvard Deusto Business Review and the Green European Journal. In addition to his research activities, he is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Ecopolítica and Vice President of the Association for Fire Ecology.
