Microcredentials in Modern Languages
Saint Louis University's modern language microcredentials consist of six required credit hours. Satisfactory completion of the required courses allows the SLU student to develop the necessary skills to communicate correspondingly through the acquisition of appropriate vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening comprehension, speaking capabilities, and cultural knowledge.
At SLU-Madrid we offer the following microcredentials:
- Arabic — Beginning (on completion of AR 1010 and AR 1020)
- Chinese — Beginning (on completion of CHIN 1010 and CHIN 1020)
- French — Beginning (on completion of FREN 1010 and FREN 1020)
- French — Intermediate (on completion of FREN 2010 and FREN 3010)
- German — Beginning (on completion of GR 1010 and GR 1020)
- Portuguese — Beginning (on completion of PG 1010 and PG 1020)
- Portuguese — Intermediate (on completion of PG 2010 and PG 2020)
Once a student has completed the corresponding courses, they can declare a microcredential by completing the form: Submit Update for Student Curriculum Record
