Janice Adamek, M.A., LPC, NCC
PRN Counselor
Janice Adamek is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor. She received her B.A. in psychology from Wheaton College and her M.A. in expressive therapies from Lesley University.
Adamek has training in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and eating disorders, in addition to experience working with anxiety, mood regulation and adjustment issues. Janice believes in the importance of helping clients balance individual responsibility within the context of their life experiences. She uses evidence-based and creative arts approaches to working with her clients. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and mindfulness approaches. She also aids the client in strengthening coping skills through nonverbal forms of self-expression, such as visual art, music and movement.
