“Inspired By” Arts Showcase

The “Inspired By” Arts Showcase is one of several student-based competitions open to high school and college students to create a work of visual, literary or musical art that connects with a theme from Saint Louis University's annual Campus Read book.

Undergraduate Writing Award

Founded in 2015, the Undergraduate Writing Award honors undergraduate literary achievement in three rotating genres: short fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction. The competition aims to foster a culture in which literary effort across Saint Louis University's entire undergraduate body is encouraged and recognized, and excellence is rewarded.

1818 Writing Competition

The 1818 Writing Competition is open to high school students enrolled in Saint Louis University’s 1818 Dual Enrollment program in several states. It honors grades 9-12 literary achievement in three genres: short fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction.
