Communication Programs

Degree programs in the Saint Louis University Department of Communication give you the tools to communicate effectively and ethically.

Students in our undergraduate major choose one of the three available concentration areas (communication studies, integrated strategic communication, or journalism and media studies) based on their interests and goals. Faculty mentors within the department are available to help you decide which concentration best suits you and to provide advice and support throughout your time at SLU.

Our undergraduate minor complements a wide variety of majors, allowing you to tailor your focus around your specific interests while developing your writing and oral communication skills.

A variety of interdisciplinary minors are also available to students interested in communication, including minors in film and media studies, political journalism and visual communication. Students can also complete a four-course micro-credential in media production. 

In our graduate program, you can develop a personalized program of study while earning your master’s degree in communication.
