About Us

Welcome to the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

The department has a long history of providing care for patients with neurologic diseases in St. Louis and the surrounding region. We are leaders in medical education and research. We have been responsible for training highly skilled Neurologists for this region and the rest of the nation.

The primary inpatient service site is at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital where the Department has active Stroke, Neurological Intensive Care, Neurointerventional, and General Neurology services. We have outpatient General Neurology and subspecialty clinics (Neuromuscular, Concussion, The Division has a strong partner in the St. Louis VA Medical Center, which has faculty with primary appointments within the Department of Neurology. Child Neurology faculty and residents provide service to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and Medical Center.
